Product Safety

Alcohol samples should be maximum 50ml each and only one sample should be served to any one guest. Event activation staff must ensure the guest is of legal age, requesting documentation to prove so if in doubt. Outernet London operates a Challenge 25 age verification policy.

Preparation, sale / sampling of any food product must comply with the Food Safety Act 1990. Hazard Awareness and Critical Control Points (HACCP) documentation should be provided in conjunction with any beverage- or food-related sampling activity.

All other products must comply with the relevant Health and Safety or Consumer Protection legislation including (but not limited to):

  • Children’s toys – must be CE marked
  • Consumer electrical goods – must be CE marked and appropriate arrangements made for Waste of Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) recycling where necessary.
  • Baby items – if your event activation includes baby-related items such as bottles, dummies etc, please raise this with the Events team for review by the Outernet London Safety Team.
  • Prams and pushchairs must be compliant with BS7409.
