Power distribution

Power distribution

All power distribution must be self-contained within the design of your event activation and / or made safe using plastic cable ramps. Power cables must not create tripping hazards by trailing across open floorspace at any time.

Electrical sockets, transformers, and distribution boards must not be accessible to the public. Additionally, please ensure any enclosed space / cupboard containing electrical distribution is well ventilated and accessible to staff, crew, and Outernet London operations staff.

Where possible, an access panel should be designed into the activation.

Electrical distribution equipment must not be located in the same enclosed space as combustible materials.

Appliances and powered tools

All electrical appliances must be PAT certified prior to being brought onsite at Outernet London. If the appliance has been purchased within a year of your event activation, an invoice or receipt for it must be included with your PAT test register – which we may request for review - and appliance serial numbers may be cross-referenced against invoice / receipt scans.

Powered hand tools - please ensure all powered hand tools are low-voltage and battery-powered.

Please see the Health and Safety area for more information.
